How We Work

Three steps from uncertainty
to a plan that holds

Every client goes through the same three stages. They are sequential on purpose: you cannot design a plan before you understand your options, and a plan is only worth what its implementation delivers.

01

Education

Understand your options before you choose one.

We begin with an initial consultation, and in many cases a webinar or educational session before that. The goal at this stage is not to recommend anything. It is to make sure you understand what is actually available to you.

We review what you own, who depends on you, and what you are trying to accomplish. Then we walk through the tools that address those goals, including what each one does, what it costs, and where it falls short. You leave knowing your options.

  • Initial consultation
  • Educational webinars and resources
  • Review of current assets and documents
  • Plain-language explanation of each option
  • No recommendation until you understand the choices

No charge

Your initial consultation carries no charge and no obligation to retain the firm.

02

Design

A plan built for your family, not a template.

Once you have decided what you want, we design the plan that gets you there. This is where the specific documents are determined: which trusts if any, how assets should be titled, who serves in which role, and how the pieces fit together.

This stage is customized by necessity. Two families with identical assets can need very different plans depending on their children, their health, their business interests, and where they own property. We build for your situation.

  • Document selection tailored to your goals
  • Asset titling and beneficiary strategy
  • Trust design where appropriate
  • Selection of fiduciaries and agents
  • Coordination across New York and Connecticut

Customized, always

There is no standard package. The plan is built around your family, your assets and your goals.

03

Implementation

The plan only works if it is actually put in place.

A well-designed plan that was never properly executed is worth very little. This stage is where documents are prepared, reviewed with you, and signed correctly, with the formalities New York requires.

Just as importantly, we coordinate the assets. A trust that was never funded, or a beneficiary designation that still names someone from a decade ago, can quietly undo the rest of the work. We make sure the plan is complete, not just drafted.

  • Document preparation and review
  • Proper execution and witnessing
  • Asset coordination and retitling
  • Beneficiary designation updates
  • Ongoing review as circumstances change

The part most plans miss

Signing the documents is not the finish line. Funding the plan is what makes it work.

Step one starts with a conversation

The education stage carries no charge. Bring your questions, your current documents if you have them, and we will take it from there.
