What happens during probate in New York?
Probate is the court process that validates a will and authorizes an executor to act. It involves filing, notice to heirs, and asset transfer. We handle the filings and guide executors through each stage so the process moves without unnecessary delay.
How does a real estate closing work?
We review the contract of sale, examine title, coordinate with lenders and the other attorney, resolve issues before they become problems, and attend the closing. You will know what you are signing at every stage.
What if my loved one died without a will?
That is an administration proceeding rather than probate. The court appoints an administrator, and assets are distributed according to state law. We can petition for you and manage the estate through to distribution.
